These Kid-Friendly Cranberry Brie Bites are the perfect easy budget appetizer, featuring flaky crescent roll dough, creamy Brie, and tart cranberry sauce. Ready in under 25 minutes, they’re a crowd-pleasing treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz Brie cheese
  • 1/3 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously spray a mini muffin tin with baking spray.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough onto a clean cutting board. If using perforated triangle sheets, press the seams together gently. Cut the dough into 24 roughly equal squares, about 2 inches each.
  3. Press each dough square gently into a mini muffin cup, making sure the corners come up the sides to form a cup shape.
  4. Cut the Brie into small cubes, about 1/2 inch each, leaving the rind on.
  5. Place one cube of Brie into each dough cup.
  6. Spoon about 1/2 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of each Brie cube.
  7. Sprinkle a few chopped pecans over each bite if using.
  8. Drizzle a tiny bit of honey or maple syrup over each bite.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the Brie is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let them cool in the pan for 2-3 minutes before removing. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

These are best served within 15 minutes of coming out of the oven. You can assemble them in the muffin tin up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate. For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free puff pastry or crescent roll dough. For a nut-free version, omit the pecans.
