Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham crackers or digestive biscuits, crushed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream or canned coconut cream (for dairy-free option)
  • Optional: 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
  • Brown sugar (optional, for caramel notes)
  • Oreo cookies, crushed (optional)
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or almonds)
  • Fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries)
  • Bananas, sliced
  • Cocoa powder (optional)
  • Chocolate chips or chunks (semi-sweet or dark)
  • Mini marshmallows
  • Peanut butter or almond butter

Instructions

  1. Crush about 1 1/2 cups (150 g) of graham crackers or cookies in a ziplock bag using a rolling pin or food processor until you have fine crumbs. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat 8 oz (225 g) softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup (60 g) powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes using a hand mixer.
  3. Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and mix again. For a lighter texture, fold in 1 cup (240 ml) whipped cream at the end.
  4. In serving dishes or a large bowl, alternate layers of crushed cookies, creamy filling, and sliced fresh fruit (bananas or berries). Repeat layers, finishing with a sprinkle of chopped nuts or chocolate chips on top.
  5. Chill for at least 1 hour to let flavors meld.
  6. For no-chill quick treats: Combine 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream with 2 tbsp (25 g) powdered sugar and whip until stiff peaks form.
  7. Fold in 1/2 cup (120 g) peanut butter or cocoa powder for flavor, then layer with crushed cookies or fruit in glasses. Serve immediately.
  8. If cream cheese is too cold, let it soften at room temperature for 30 minutes before mixing to avoid lumps.
  9. Garnish with mini marshmallows or a drizzle of honey if desired. Serve cold for best flavor and texture.

Notes

Use Philadelphia cream cheese for best texture. For dairy-free versions, substitute cream cheese with dairy-free cream cheese and heavy cream with canned coconut cream chilled overnight. Crush cookies to desired texture, leaving some chunks for crunch. Assemble desserts shortly before serving or chill for at least 1 hour. Store leftovers in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
