This Halloween charcuterie board with candy corn is the ultimate party trick. It looks like you spent hours on it, but the truth is, it comes together in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups candy corn
  • 1 cup chocolate-covered pretzels
  • 1 cup mini peanut butter cups
  • 2 cups caramel popcorn
  • 1 cup gummy worms
  • 1 cup ghost-shaped marshmallows
  • 8 ounces aged cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup mixed olives
  • 1/2 cup roasted and salted almonds
  • 1 cup green grapes
  • 1 apple, cut into wedges
  • 1/2 cup carrot sticks
  • 1/2 cup caramel dip
  • 1/4 cup honey mustard
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin hummus

Instructions

  1. Choose your board and bowls. Pick a board that’s at least 12 inches wide. Place your small bowls for dips and olives in the corners or center.
  2. Add the cheese and pepperoni. Cube the aged cheddar into 1-inch pieces. Arrange them in a cluster on one side of the board. Fold the pepperoni slices into triangles and place them next to the cheese.
  3. Place the fruit and vegetables. Arrange the green grapes in a small pile next to the cheese. Fan out the apple slices in a line. Place the carrot sticks in a separate cluster.
  4. Fill the bowls with dips. Spoon the caramel dip into one bowl, honey mustard into another, and pumpkin hummus into a third. Place them on the board where they won’t get knocked over.
  5. Add the candy corn and sweet treats. Pour the candy corn into a cluster near the center. Add the chocolate-covered pretzels, mini peanut butter cups, and caramel popcorn in separate piles around the board.
  6. Scatter the gummy worms and marshmallows. Place the gummy worms in a wavy line across the board. Arrange the ghost marshmallows in a small group.
  7. Add the nuts and olives. Sprinkle the almonds in the gaps between the larger piles. Place the olives in a small bowl or directly on the board.
  8. Fill in the empty spaces. Look at the board and see where there are gaps. Add a few extra pretzels, a handful of candy corn, or some grapes to fill them in.
  9. Garnish and serve. If you have fresh rosemary or thyme, tuck a few sprigs around the board for a pop of green. Serve immediately.

Notes

Don’t put the candy corn next to anything moist. Toss apple slices in lemon juice to prevent browning. Arrange the board about 30 minutes before guests arrive. For a big crowd, double the recipe and use two boards.
