A creamy, non-alcoholic fall sangria that combines apple cider, heavy cream, and caramel sauce for a rich, indulgent drink. Perfect for gatherings, it comes together in under 10 minutes and is a crowd-pleaser for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) apple cider
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 2 cups (480 ml) sparkling apple cider or ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) apple brandy or bourbon (optional)
  • 34 cinnamon sticks
  • 12 apples (Honeycrisp or Fuji), sliced
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Make the Cream Base: In a small bowl, combine the heavy cream and caramel sauce. Whisk vigorously until the caramel is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
  2. Prepare the Pitcher: Pour the apple cider into a large pitcher. Add the cinnamon sticks and let them sit for a minute to infuse flavor.
  3. Combine the Cream: Slowly pour the cream and caramel mixture into the pitcher while gently stirring the cider. Stir until the mixture looks uniform and a pale, creamy tan color.
  4. Add the Fizz: Gently pour in the sparkling apple cider or ginger ale. Do not stir vigorously; just give it a few gentle swirls with a long spoon.
  5. Add the Fruit: Thinly slice the apples into rounds or half-moons and add them to the pitcher. If using optional alcohol, pour it in now and give one last gentle stir.
  6. Chill and Rest: Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to marry and the drink to get properly cold.
  7. Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the sangria over the ice, making sure to get a few apple slices and a cinnamon stick into each glass. Drizzle extra caramel sauce over the top and serve immediately.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use full-fat canned coconut cream and dairy-free caramel sauce. To make it a cocktail, add 1/2 cup apple brandy or bourbon. The drink can be made up to 2 hours ahead without the sparkling cider and ice; add those just before serving.
