A quick and easy air fryer pizza using flatbread as a crispy crust, topped with marinara, mozzarella, and colorful veggies arranged in a festive flag design. Perfect for busy nights or casual gatherings.

  • ½ cup (120 ml) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup (75 g) blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves, torn (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to heat for about 3 minutes.
  2. Place the flatbread on a clean surface and lightly coat the edges with olive oil using a basting brush.
  3. Spread ½ cup (120 ml) of marinara sauce evenly over the flatbread, leaving about a ½ inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle 1 cup (100 g) of shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce, avoiding the oiled edges.
  5. Create the flag design by placing blueberries in the upper left corner covering about one-third width and half the height of the flatbread.
  6. Make horizontal stripes with alternating thin slices of red and yellow bell peppers across the remaining flatbread area. Lightly season the peppers with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
  7. Carefully transfer the topped flatbread into the air fryer basket and cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and crust is crisp.
  8. If edges are not golden enough, add an extra 1-2 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
  9. Remove the pizza with a spatula, scatter fresh torn basil leaves over the top, and let it cool for 2 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Preheat the air fryer for even crisping. Avoid overloading toppings to prevent soggy crust. Use fresh shredded mozzarella for best melt. If air fryer basket is small, cut flatbread in half and cook in batches. To reheat leftovers, use air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness.
