Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese (for garnish)
  • Celery sticks, carrot sticks, and tortilla chips (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Let cream cheese soften at room temperature.
  2. In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes until fragrant and just starting to turn golden.
  3. Add honey, soy sauce, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper to the skillet. Stir and let simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Blend with a hand mixer or spatula until smooth. Fold in shredded mozzarella and 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (if using).
  5. Add shredded chicken to the creamy base. Pour honey garlic sauce over the top and fold until everything is evenly coated.
  6. Transfer mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle extra mozzarella on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until edges are bubbling and top is golden brown. For a darker top, broil for the last 2 minutes, watching closely.
  8. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley and remaining crumbled blue cheese. Serve warm with celery sticks, carrot sticks, and tortilla chips.

Notes

Don’t skip the rest time after baking; it allows the dip to set and become scoopable. Caramelizing the garlic first is key for a sweet, mellow flavor. For best results, use room temperature cream cheese and shred chicken while warm.
