A creamy, cheesy spinach artichoke dip topped with a stunning spider web pattern made from sour cream and mozzarella. Perfect for Halloween parties, game days, or any gathering where you want to impress with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 can (14 oz) artichoke hearts, drained and roughly chopped
  • 1 package (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream (for spider web topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Squeeze thawed spinach dry using a clean kitchen towel.
  3. Drain and roughly chop artichoke hearts into 1/4-inch pieces.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until smooth.
  5. Stir in 3/4 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, chopped artichokes, squeezed spinach, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until evenly combined.
  6. Transfer mixture to a greased 8×8-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup mozzarella over the top.
  8. Place 2 tablespoons sour cream in a small zip-top bag, snip a tiny corner, and pipe concentric circles over the dip. Drag a toothpick from center outward through circles to create a spider web pattern, wiping toothpick clean between each drag.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are bubbly and top is golden. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for extra color.
  10. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving warm with dippers.

Notes

Squeeze spinach completely dry to avoid watery dip. Use room temperature cream cheese for smooth mixing. For cleaner spider web lines, chill sour cream for 10 minutes before piping. Can be assembled a day ahead (without topping) and refrigerated; add topping before baking and increase baking time by 5-10 minutes.
