An easy and stunning chocolate covered strawberry charcuterie board perfect for Mother’s Day or any celebration, featuring fresh strawberries dipped in a blend of dark and white chocolate with crunchy and colorful accents.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds (900g) fresh strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
  • 8 ounces (225g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips or bars
  • 4 ounces (115g) white chocolate (optional, for drizzling or marbling)
  • ½ cup (60g) chopped pistachios or almonds, toasted
  • A handful of edible flowers (e.g., pansies or violets)
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1 cup small cookies, pretzels, or marshmallows (for variety)
  • A few sprigs of fresh mint leaves

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry the strawberries very well—any moisture will cause the chocolate to seize. Set them on a kitchen towel and gently pat dry (about 10 minutes).
  2. Melt the dark chocolate using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth (about 5 minutes).
  3. Melt the white chocolate separately using the same method and keep warm.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem or use a toothpick, dip halfway into the dark chocolate, letting excess drip off. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet (about 15 minutes depending on quantity).
  5. Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle white chocolate over the dipped strawberries. Use a toothpick to swirl the white and dark chocolate gently for a marbled effect.
  6. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle chopped nuts, sea salt, or edible flowers for texture and visual appeal.
  7. Allow strawberries to cool at room temperature or refrigerate for about 20 minutes until chocolate hardens.
  8. Arrange the strawberries on a wooden or ceramic serving board. Add small bowls of nuts, cookies, pretzels, marshmallows, and fresh mint sprigs artistically around the strawberries.
  9. Sprinkle a few edible flowers and mint leaves on the board for a final decorative touch.

Notes

Use fresh, dry strawberries to prevent chocolate from seizing. Melt chocolate slowly and gently to avoid burning. Work in small batches for even coating. If chocolate seizes, add a teaspoon of coconut oil and gently reheat while stirring. Store dipped strawberries in a single layer in the fridge for up to 24 hours and bring to room temperature before serving.
